I’m not sure if Invisalign is the right kind of treatment for me. Could You Provide Me With More Information?

My Question to the Dentist
Hello Dr Patel. I hope you can help me. I want more information about Invisalign, as I am 32 years old and not sure whether I want the other kind. My front teeth stick out quite a lot. This really gets me down, and in the past, I have tried to affect them as I was so depressed with them, because of what I have done to them, I am scared to go to the dentist and what they might think. Please could you give me some advice?

I look forward to your reply. Thank you for your time.

Dentist’s Answer

Hello, and thank you for getting in touch. Dentists encounter a wide range of cases, so you shouldn’t be afraid to visit them. They may be able to help, and you’ll then know where you stand. Invisalign is an excellent way of treating crowded teeth.

Please have a look at my website under the Invisalign treatment tab. It shows many cases that might help you decide. I hope this helps. I hope this helps! Dr Disha Gupta. GDC: 173726

Misaligned and crooked teeth

Misaligned and crooked teeth are often a source of self-consciousness and embarrassment for patients. When their smile isn’t perfect, they may find they smile less and hide it from others. While traditional orthodontics used to be the only way to address imperfect smiles, the team at Tudor House Dental can now provide state-of-the-art treatments such as Invisalign and Clear Correct Aligners for those looking to renovate their smile and produce a more beautiful, attractive result.

Invisalign is amazing

Invisalign is an amazing way for patients to realign their teeth into their proper locations. Invisalign uses clear aligner trays made from digital impressions. These trays are designed to fit over the patient’s teeth to slowly move them into more desirable positions. The trays are worn for two weeks at a time, after which a new tray is worn to continue the progression of movement. The aligner trays are worn at all times except when the patient is eating, drinking, or caring for their teeth by brushing and flossing.

Unlike traditional metal braces, they do not use brackets and wires and are almost undetectable by others.

The page discusses an adult patient who feels self-conscious because their front teeth stick out and is unsure whether Invisalign is suitable. The dentist reassures them that dental professionals are used to seeing many concerns, encourages a consultation, and explains that Invisalign can be a helpful option for crowded or misaligned teeth, depending on the case.

Pain Management
It is also common for patients to have more than one pain, and so several areas covered may be relevant to an individual. Please note that there is a recurring theme in the treatment of pain that can be divided into the three broad categories:

  • Pharmacological (drugs e.g. paracetamol)
  • Physical (e.g. physiotherapy)
  • Psychological

The most important thing to remember is that each patient’s treatment is individualised as pain is a subjective sensation and what works for one person may not necessarily work for the next even though the diagnosis is the same.
